Sit up and take notice. Centrefolds are re-writing the usual definition of ‘indie-pop’. Possession of ‘dumbpunk swagger’, ‘twanging guitarmongery’ and ‘intuitive, infectious, soulful song writing’ has given these guys the thumbs up from BBC Introducing, Fred Perry Subculture, Absolute Radio and NME. Since forming in 2010 Centrefolds have released debut EP ‘Is Anyone There?’ and recently critically acclaimed double a-side single ‘Jennifer/Fresh Air’ out now on iTunes – produced by Seb Pecchia (Goldfrapp, Baby Shambles, Elecralux, Basement Jaxx, Kissy Sell Out). 2011 saw Centrefolds tour with major national bands throughout the UK, receive major national airplay and Glastonbury festival. Centrefolds are now set to release the hounds upon the nation in 2012. ‘Release The Hounds EP’ – produced by Paul Corkett (Radiohead, The Cure, Placebo) www.centrefoldsmusic.co.uk
MY SOCIAL ORBIT
My Social Orbit perform original songs that are intelligent and well crafted with classic echoes of Paul Weller, Pink Floyd and the Pixies.
My Social Orbit’s awareness and observation of political and social themes are well moulded into songwriting and isn’t without its humour and irony. There are plenty of strong tunes and some good harmonies. The band is worth catching if you get the chance.

Bad Detectives Just back from their Make Umpteen a Proper Number Society benefit gig and appearing at the
Daffodil Day celebrations for the umpteenth time – it’s the Bad Detectives. Blessed with the “more luck than talent” gene these boys have stumbled onto national and local radio again in the last year and have also managed to release a fourth c.d. of original tunes.
This Easter the lad’s have replaced themselves with symbiotic clones made from lichen to offset their carbon footprint so they will be watching themselves via a cctv link to a luxurious private island (situated in a secret location, on the river Frome near Vallis). Their disappearance has also allowed them classify themselves as missing, for tax reasons, whist staying resident in the country for twice as long as officially allowed posing as their own clones. Phew….
Signed up as official musicians for UNESCO’s Year of the Teazle celebrations the bands infectious beats resist most antibiotics so come along and Rock and then Roll a bit, possibly, to the surfrhythmabilly sounds of The Bad Detectives!
Maisie Robinson
I’m 15 years old and I have been learning guitar since I was 10. I have always been keen to write songs but only recently have i had the confidence to share my music with others. I am a solo performer with acoustic guitar and vocals. In September I am hoping to study music performance at bath college, this will hopefully lead me to exciting opportunities. Music is my passion, and I get the greatest feeling of achievement when other people like my songs. Music for me is about expressing your emotions, and I’m sure many people can relate to my lyrics. My goal in life is to work with the blind, i feel that music would provide great freedom for them, as it does for me
Dudlow Joe
Dudlow Joe’s infectious brand of boogie and blues has been a mainstay on the Bath & Bristol live music circuit for the last decade. They have appeared at various festivals around the south west and have been joined on stage by some of the biggest names in the current blues scene, including Ben Waters, Paddy Milner and Daniel Smith. Dudlow Joe’s material is a heady cocktail of boogie woogie, New Orleans rhythm & blues, Afro-beat and funk, and inspired by the likes of Dr John, Professor Longhair, Jools Holland, Bessie Smith, and (according to one reviewer) Groucho Marx. All this adds to the flavoursome musical gumbo that Dudlow Joe/
